Wood Pellets provide an excellent alternative to straw or shavings. They are very easy to layout and provide a great bed for your horse. They are quick to muck out and extremely absorbent so any liquid waste will be quickly absorbed into the bedding. They make a far more hygienic bed than straw or shavings and produce far less muck pile.
 
For a 10'x10' stable you will need around 8 bags for the setup and then 1-2 bags per week as a topup.
 
Simply lay the bags in your stable, split them and add around 1 gallon (4.5 litres) of water to the bag. Wait around 5-10 minutes and the pellets will grow into a fluffy bed.
 
Wood Pellets can also be used for as replacement for traditional Cat Litter.
